Claudia won't find a whole lot of villagers approaching her for that (some, but not a great deal), which will have something to do with that whole...dragon thing oops. Hawke will have better luck though!

And it would be disgustingly easy actually. The headman has basically locked himself in a windowless room, but there aren't any guards near the door - there's a hole cut in it to pass food through, but that's covered most of the time. The whole wing of the building he's in seems to have been cleared out, which might be because the closer you get to his room, the more nauseous a person seems to feel (Claudia might recognise the sensations from visiting Aelius).

However the headman will assume that whoever opens the door is the creature (currently pinned down by gold in the village centre) who's been stealing children, and start raving loudly, and attempt to attack them. He's weak as shit, but if he manages to claw at them and break the skin, the wound will swell in the next hour or two and they'll start feeling sick and light-headed - they'll need to visit grandma or the herbalist back in Astor to deal with that. Also, the raving will bring guards, but it's up to y'all how that goes down.

Just please let me know if they kill the headman or not, if they succeed in getting the shard, what happens re: the guards, and if they get the shard, what they do with it after.

Aelius will be very grateful! He'll also notice that she's a Rider now, and say something like, well if you're lucky maybe one day your dragon will be as great as old Aelius and you can amass a hoard like him and terrorise the surrounding countryside wouldn't that be nice???
