Applications
It is strongly suggested that you read the Rules and our FAQ before applying.
Before submitting your application, please refer to the Reservations and Taken Characters pages to make sure that your character is not on either of those lists. App challenges will not be accepted. Place your character's name and canon in the subject line.
Applications are reviewed on a weekly basis. The cut-off is at 11.59pm EST on Sundays, and we aim to have all apps processed by 11.59pm EST Tuesdays. You may apply for two characters at any one time.
Canon Character
Player Information
Name: What you would like to be called.
Personal Journal: Your Dreamwidth journal.
IM Service: Your preferred IM service & username. We have an AIM chat at 'nohappyendings', you're welcome to join!
Plurk Name: Your personal plurk, if you'd like to include it.
Current Characters: The characters you currently have in game.
Character Information
Character Name: Your character's name.
Canon: The canon your character is from.
Canon-Point: The point in canon where you are taking your character from.
Age: Approximately what your character's age would be. Guesstimate if you're not quite sure.
History: A link to a page detailing your character's history would do just fine, as long as it is detailed enough to give us an understanding of the canon. If there is no suitable link, we would like for a written out history.
Personality: Give us your character's personality, such as their goals, motivations, strengths, and weaknesses. Please be as thorough as possible. We would like at least three paragraphs.
Abilities/Powers: Even though when your character loses their abilities when they arrive in game, we would like a list of them and what they can do. This is also where you will list general abilities or skills your character has.
Items: A list of items your character would have on them when they arrive in the game. Please list any abilities items might have. Just as a reminder: any magical items would be completely ordinary until their status is regained.
Samples
Instead of having you write specific samples for the character you are apping, we would like to see two links of your characters in action! This could be from the test drive meme, a previous post from another game (either a journal or log), or even a meme thread, as long as the threads are not AU versions of the character. We will not accept a dear_mun post, as we consider that to be too meta.
If you do not have any examples of your character in action, we ask that you go ahead and write up two for us in the typical format: a first person post to the mirrors, and a third person prose.
